Furthermore, Pripyat River and the Kyiv artificial lake will become ongoing sources of radioactive contaminants because annual dredging will be needed to ensure the successful operation of the E40 waterway. This work is proceeding on the basis of incomplete analysis of radiation levels and without any detailed studies having taken place as required by Ukrainian law.Īccording to an independent scientific study by the French organisation ACRO, 28 million people downstream who depend on the Dnieper River for water and food could be at increased radiation risk if dredging in the Chernobyl exclusion zone continues. Four of the eight sites lie only a few kilometres from the remains of Chernobyl’s infamous Reactor 4, where the remnants of the world’s largest nuclear catastrophe lie hidden in the muddy riverbed. This work is being carried out as part of the restoration of a bilateral waterway between Ukraine and Belarus, and as the first steps of the much larger E40 project. In Ukraine, dredging of the Pripyat River as part of the E40 waterway construction has been launched at the eight sites planned for this year.
Instead of restricting you to a single screen, Crossy Road slowly scrolls you across an endless array of busy traffic veins and treacherous rivers. Its revolutionary "hopper," Crossy Road, got people talking with its cute voxel graphics and original take on the Frogger formula. Though plenty of mobile game developers are lending a hand to the reconstruction of the classic arcade experience, Hipster Whale is arguably at the forefront of the charge. The genre is constantly undergoing a change-of-form on mobile platforms. We have a tendency to think of arcade-style games as "retro." That assertion isn't incorrect, but the arcade experience isn't necessarily frozen in time. Golden Realms is the first full-fledged expansion pack, which is what we called DLC back in the day. I was a big fan of Age of Wonders III when it released last April, and in the months since Triumph Studios have done an admiral job listening to fan feedback and incorporating lots of tweaks and balance changes. As the first expansion pack released for the turn-based tactical strategy game, Golden Realms introduces an entirely new faction, new skill specializations, new units, two new scenarios, a new mini-campaign and several new gameplay features that tweak and expand an already fantastic game.īut also adds those filthy, filthy monkeys. Specialisations make a big difference to playstyle too! Have fun.If you ever caught yourself in the middle of playing Triumph Studios’ Age of Wonders III wondering where all the poo-flinging Dread Monkeys are – fear not. If you look at the wiki you can see the various race options and what they contain, and if you click through to the classes you can see how races modify class units beyond their usual modifications. Other cool options are frostlings/goblins for a new damage type you can't access otherwise, tigrans for sun shield crusaders and orcs for tireless crusaders or war cry exalted.Īt the end of the day you can just tinker and experiment till you find something you like or even pick because a combination that looks/feels awesome or has great roleplaying potential! Exalted get charge, crusaders get improved wall climbing. They also get armored evangelists and shields on their exalted.ĭraconians: Much like humans their evangelists actually receive a ranged attack but here it is fire, which allows for some damage diversification. While in this game pretty much every combination has it's upsides, I do have some favourites for theocrats.ĭwarves: Their crusaders not only have naturally higher tank stats, but they get defensive strike which has great synergy with the defender ability they already get. Cash noted that every tree you see in the game was placed by a person on the studio’s team. Snowman’s previous games, including Alto’s Adventure, were procedurally generated, while Laya’s Horizon is handcrafted. The studio sees Laya’s Horizon as its most ambitious game yet. We wanted to make something that was accessible and available to people at all times.” If we’ve done our job right, we’ve given people the ability to get the sense of what it might be like to fly. Flying has always been a big part of my life, but also I’ve always dreamt of flying as almost every kid does. “I think everyone on the team has their own inspiration that they bring to the game, but for me, I grew up fascinated with airplanes. “The idea for the game was something we had been thinking about for a long time,” Cash said. Cash said Snowman is passionate about making games that let players escape somewhere beautiful, typically in nature, where they can get into a zen zone. Snowman CEO and founder Ryan Cash told TechCrunch in an interview that the studio began working on Laya’s Horizon in May 2018. Laya’s Horizon is now available on iOS and Android via Netflix Games. The wingsuit game sees players mastering the art of flying, diving off mountains, weaving across forests and gliding over rivers to unlock new abilities as they explore a vast and peaceful world. Snowman, the mobile game studio behind Alto’s Adventure and Alto’s Odyssey, has launched its latest title called Laya’s Horizon exclusively with Netflix.
I have to admit that their World of Warplanes let me down, but I see so much potential in this game, that I have really become excited about it, and that hasn't happened for a while. This game looks like it has some REAL potential. Only because from the videos that I have seen on youtube and the things I have read on this forum. They want to keep/rollover their stats/achievements/xp/equipment when the game goes live.Īs a longtime WoT player, who does not have the time in R/L to grind grind grind for 8 hours a day, I have been know to pop some cash into the game for the extra perks (gold rounds, premium time, premium tanks, etc.) I would be willing to plop some money down to beta test THIS game. I also know that some people get in there and play and act like it is a finished product. I have done CBT and OBT before, and get the meaning behind it. All I was saying was, I am very excited by what I have seen of this game so far and would love to get in to mess around with it. I didn't mean to offend anyone with my post. WT did this, you know what happened? it went over like a lead balloon and they lost 1/3 of potential customers and some of their players even left because they were disgusted. Oh yeah real smart idea! WG will just charge people $100.00 to play in beta and they don't get to keep anything once the game is released. Give me your account then if it's no big deal waitingĮdit: for the record (because some people have no sense of humor) this was a joke commenting on the irony of telling someone it's not a big deal to wait when one is already in the beta test. Just a very small part of our everyday or every week or every month lives. This thing isn't the end-all, be-all of life. Don't let one thing drag you down because you weren't accepted to be a "beta tester." There's much more important things to do. Like study." There's more important things in life than being a tester. When I sent my application in and was waiting to get an email back I was thinking if "If I don't get in, fine. I was lucky in that I applied the day it opened. If you haven't put an application in, put one in. And if you're not accepted, don't worry. If you've put in an application, just wait. I would love to see this happen, as I haven't gotten in yet, but I probably wouldn't like it if I was one of the chosen. I think he was saying that WG should sell codes. |
